TOKYO, KOMPAS.com - Inpex Corp. said Friday that it will sell 30% of the Masela gas block offshore Indonesia to an affiliate of Royal Dutch Shell PLC.
The Japanese upstream energy company had been looking for a partner for its Abadi floating liquefied natural gas project in Indonesia, which includes the Masela block.
Inpex said earlier this year it was willing to sell up to 30% of the project to an oil major with experience in LNG projects, or offshore development, or both.
