Garuda Indonesia 1H Net Loss

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia  said Friday that it booked a net loss of IDR185.74 billion, compared with a net profit of IDR60.61 billion a year earlier as an increase in operating costs offset higher revenue.

Revenue for the January-to-June period rose 45% to IDR11.215 trillion from IDR7.756 trillion a year earlier.

However, operating costs surged to IDR11.555 trillion from IDR8.220 trillion a year earlier. The carrier's assets as of June 30 rose to IDR10.129 trillion from IDR9.768 trillion.
